Colin Radmore to depart British Canoeing

After more than 25 years in the sport, Paracanoe Senior Technical Coach Colin Radmore will be leaving British Canoeing at the end of March. During Colin’s 10 years in the Programme, the team has won more than twice the number of medals than any other nation and has topped the table at every World Championships and Paralympic Games. He said: “I will always be proud of my time in Paracanoe, it has been a huge part of my life over the last 10 years and being part of this amazing team has been incredible. “We wish Colin all the best in his new role”. England Canoe Sprint Talent Programme 2022-2025 Strategy

This strategy is designed to create a more collaborative approach to supporting and developing young athletes.

Support from the England Talent Programme will focus on developing clubs, coaches and the wider environment where athletes spend the majority of their time. Working in partnership to support those that have the most contact and influence is how programme resources will be directed. Supporting the development of more clubs and environments will also encourage the sport to become more accessible to a broader range of society.

The England Canoe Sprint Talent Programme has recently released its programme strategy for 2022-25, which outlines the direction and focus of intent for the next three years.

Performance Director – Paracanoe and Canoe Sprint

British Canoeing is delighted to announce that Chris Furber has been appointed to British Canoeing
as the Performance Director for Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe.

Canoe Sprint Selection Policies 2022: For Public Consultation

The Canoe Sprint International Panel have been working with the SRC and prepared this draft 2022 policy document for feedback from the Canoe Sprint community. The policy consultation commences the week commencing 20th December 2021 and runs for just over 2 weeks with all consultation responses to be received by 23.59 On Sunday 9th January 2022.
